It's been too long!

Sorry Natalie and I have not posted in awhile! Let's see where to begin.
Sarah:
Sarah got a full time bartending job at a nightclub called The Green Fairy at Copper Resort!
www.greenfairybar.com
It's an absinthe bar featuring the most variety and brands in North America. We had our soft opening Saturday, December 5th and needless to say it was a good sign of things to come!
I contacted Breckenridge and decided to decline the part-time instructor position so I would have more time to spend with Eric and Natalie during my time off since I will working mostly nights and difficult hours.
Natalie:
Natalie is still working at the Hearthstone and starting to train to work as a server finally. She is also working at Farley's Chop House in Frisco as a server/hostess. Natalie has made a great group of friends and she always has plans on the weekends. She is busy bee and I could not be happier for her!
Eric:
Eric had a hard few weeks trying to find the perfect job. He finally landed a position with the Vail Company. He will be a cook at Sevens restaurant in Breckenridge. He has health insurance, his pass is getting reimbursed, and there is a huge potential for growth and fast within the company. Things are looking up for him!

With Christmas just around the corner we are all looking forward to mom and dad coming to visit. Eric's family was here for Thanksgiving and we had a great time, now we get to show off our new life to the Bugg's :)
Stay tuned for holiday updates!

It snowed today....

That is right.....there was a full on blizzard this morning across Summit County. There is still snow on my deck that has not melted away. For a while it was coming down fast.....but only really sticking to the grass, roads were fine. Once the sun came out it melted away but you can still see it on the tops of the mountains!! Sorry I don't have pictures....I don't know where the connection cord is for my camera. The weather reporters say that it should be nice again at the end of the week...lets hope b/c I went from summer to winter in a matter of two weeks!

Yay I have a job!!

Natalie got offered a job at Vail resorts as a pre-school supervisor!! Went in and interviewed on Tuesday and went in for a second interview on Wednesday. The fall here is beautiful but nothing compared to New England and the amazing colors!! Here it's pretty much different shades of green and yellow! I almost have my bearings for where things are....definitely not as convenient as MA but that's life out here! Still waiting to get cable installed....makes me realize how much I rely on TV....not good! I am off to October Fest this weekend in Breckenridge. I will post pictures when I get better at taking them!

September 11, 2009

After 34 hours of driving and 8 states later we woke up in Nebraska today ready to drive to our new home only a short 4 hours away!

Wednesday morning was full of excitement and emotions...we could not sleep so decided to get up at 3:30am and start our journey West. We said our tearful goodbyes to Franklin, took a deep breath and started on our trip. Massachusetts was a short hour and a half continuing right into New York for most of our first day. Passing memories like Niagara Falls where Natalie and Sarah's parents spent their honeymoon, and Rochester, NY where our cousin Suz graduated from. Sarah remembering the long drive to her graduation with her Uncle and Grandparents! The next state was a short visit through top of Penn, Ohio, and into Indiana.

Thursday was another early morning, waking up at 4am and heading out ready for the long states of Iowa and Nebraska. The early morning stretch was a bit difficult having to drive through the timezone and seeing 4:30am twice on the truck clock. Chicago, IL was interesting driving our massive truck with car in tow through rush hour...but we passed through like pros! As we drove through the city we saw signs for Purdue University and remembered our grandfather. Iowa was beautiful and Nebraska was like pulling teeth.

It's Friday now and we are leaving to see our new home! No looking back and ready for whats around the next turn! Here we come Colorado!

August 30, 2009

So it's moving day!

Eric and Sarah came home early so that they could wake up at the crack of dawn. We were loading at 7am with Dunkin Donuts coffee by our side.

Natalie thought the truck was NO way big enough...and believe me we were holding stuff in as we closed the door at 4 hours later when we finished.

The truck is loaded, muscles ached, tears were shed, auto transport for Natalie's car is hitched...and we are anxiously waiting for September 9, 2009 to begin our driving trip cross country!
